THE COW-HOUSE

On all farms and cottages there were buildings for the animals and farming implements.

This building has belonged to the cottage of Blomsberg in the village of Hammarsebo and was from the middle of the 1850´s to the years of 1910. The cow-house was moved to the park in 1946.

Here were stalls for 3 cows, a calf-box and room for sheep and fowl. The pigs of the cottage were kept in the pig-sty to the left.

In the shed a carriage and bigger tools were kept. Here was probably also a stable for the horse.

On the back of the cow-house there is something used to drive the treshing-mill. In Småland there were mainly oxen slowly going around and pulling the mill where the treshing itself took place in the barn.
